Morenish NEWS
The 2012 salmon fishing season on Loch Tay opens on Monday 16th January. The open season for trout fishing runs from 15th March until 6th October (inclusive).
The Morenish ospreys returned in 2011. One osprey was sighted on Wednesday 30th March and the second osprey was seen on Thursday 31st March. They used the same nest as in the past two years and hatched two chicks. The family of four migrated south during the last week of August.
Des, who stayed in the Coach House apartment for two weeks in July, took this magnificent shot of an adult osprey returning to the nest with a fish in its claws. You can see more of Des's photos, including the osprey ringing operation, on our photo gallery page.
