Situated in a secluded wooded hollow on the north shore of Loch Tay, in highland
Perthshire, Morenish Mews self-catering accommodation is an ideal base from
which to explore all that Scotland has to offer in the way of outdoor
activities and tourist attractions.
Its central Perthshire location means that its beautiful and tranquil
highland setting can be reached by a 90-minute drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow
airports. Popular locations such as
Perth, Stirling, Pitlochry, Oban, Glen Coe and Fort William are all reachable
in under two hours’ drive.
We welcome walkers, cyclists and anglers, for whom we provide free
mountain and route maps, and free trout fishing from the shore of Loch Tay.
Morenish Mews is an intentionally small development. Having only three
guest properties allows us to prepare your holiday home personally and
thoroughly. Although the small size and
sheltered location of the properties assures complete tranquility, the small
town of Killin two miles away provides a substantial range of services.
Morenish Mews is well established as an excellent destination for couples
seeking fine-quality, quiet, comfortable self-catering accommodation in a
glorious countryside location.
Our highland location, at the edge of the Ben Lawers National Nature
Reserve and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, is ideally situated
for lovers of nature and the outdoors.
Wildlife abounds in the area. Red
deer, red squirrels and a pine marten have been seen in the garden, and over
the summer months ospreys can be seen from the property. Ben Lawers is noted for its alpine and arctic
flora.
With free wireless broadband access to the internet, our accommodation is
also ideal for those wishing a working retreat in calm surroundings.
