Payment: If you book for two or more consecutive weeks in the same property you will benefit from a discount of £30 per week. Bed linen and towels are changed each week but cleaning is not provided during the course of the stay.
A 25% deductible, non-refundable deposit (minimum £50) is required at the time of booking, to confirm your reservation.
The balance is due at least five (5) weeks before date of arrival. We recommend strongly that you have adequate insurance in the event of cancellation for unforeseen circumstances (health etc.) after you have paid the balance, as the balance is also non-refundable. A holiday insurance scheme is available for UK residents. Please ask us for details.
Payment can be made in the following ways:
- By cheque payable to "Morenish Mews".
- By bank transfer. (We will provide bank account details). Bank transfers from abroad should be made in pounds sterling (GBP) with all bank charges paid by the remitter (person sending the money).
- By online credit card payment via PayPal.
Facilities: Heating, lighting, linen & towels are all included in the tariff, as are toilet and cleaning essentials. All you have to provide is food (but we provide salt, pepper and vegetable cooking oil as these can be inconvenient to transport).
We will be delighted to provide information and advice on activities that you may wish to undertake or attractions that you may wish to visit during your stay. This includes information folders, walking route booklets, laminated maps and public transport timetables. Each evening we also provide guests with a printout of the mountain weather forecast for the following three days.
Free broadband internet access is available for guests who bring a WiFi-enabled laptop. Please note that while we do everything that is within our control to provide this service, we are not responsible for failure of the BT broadband supply line or interruption of the internet service provided by our ISP (internet service provider).
One of our guest bungalows is more convenient if you have slight walking difficulties. Please advise us if this is applicable.
Arrival and Departure: To allow us to clean the apartments in time for the arrival of our next guests, we kindly ask you to return the keys by 10:00 on the day of your departure. If you wish to leave later, just let us know - it may be possible to arrange this. We also ask you to schedule your arrival between 16:00 and 19:00 hours, but once again it may be possible to arrange for an arrival outside these hours if you contact us in advance.
Cleaning: Whilst all our properties are thoroughly cleaned and checked after every let, we expect guests to leave their accommodation clean and tidy (i.e. dishes washed, cooker cleaned, buckets emptied, etc.). Any damage or breakages should be notified to us and paid for if requested. We do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to guests' property, including vehicles.
Smoking Policy: All of our properties are designated non-smoking inside but have covered patios where guests may smoke.
Pets Policy: Unfortunately we don't take pets at Morenish Mews. There are essentially three reasons why we exclude pets and dogs in particular.
The first is that a number of people have allergies to animal hair and like to come to us secure in the knowledge that no animals will have been in our accommodation units.
The second is that the surrounding fields, including those that we pass across to access our loch frontage, contain sheep all year round. We have a very good working relationship with the farmer and do not wish to prejudice that as a result of an incident involving a guest's dog.
The third is that we wish our guests to enjoy the full extent of our garden grounds and we therefore wish to keep them as clean as possible.
Boat Hire and Fishing: Guests at Morenish Mews are entitled to free trout fishing from our 300-metre stretch of loch shore. We also have a small rowing boat from which guests can fly-fish for trout or just row around the loch. Boat hire costs £10 per half-day, £15 per day.
